Memories

Recently we held the memorial for my Uncle Stefan. I gave a eulogy that spoke of his extraordinary life. After surviving the labor camps of Siberia, he came to the US and lived a wonderful and rich life.
Stefan had a great talent for creating beautiful objects out of wood including bracelets and intricate vases. At the memorial all of us girls wore a unique bracelet he had designed._
Stefan learned to trade the stock market and was very successful. We would often sit at the kitchen table where he would offer his wisdom and answer my questions about successful trading.
I come from a family of very successful traders who have an uncanny knack for knowing what and when to buy. Since they are all of the long term buy and hold school, they don’t talk about when to sell so much– they just live through the ups and downs.
In recent years Stefan shook his head when I asked him what was happening with the market. At the memorial several relatives told me about how they got “clobbered” in downturns since 2ooo.They listened in amazement as I talked about chart reading.
I am grateful for the gifts of the incredibly strong, determined , extraordinary and amazing people that are my ancestors.
I am grateful to be able to expand on their knowledge and experience through the language of the stock charts.
