What’s Your Guess?

February 22, 2010 by

For Christmas I received a subscription to Money magazine . In the first issue there is a poll asking: Where will the Dow finish in 2010?

4 people were quoted.  A nurse said stocks will drop and she believes the middle class will struggle for a long time.  A teacher said it will be higher but before investing he needs to see unemployment drop. The city planner said the recent rally was premature but she doesn’t think things will get worse. Lastly, the account manager said he thinks it will be about the same.

Isn’t it fun to have an opinion or be a prognosticator? It makes us feel so much more alive to mix it up.

As I page through Money magazine or touch in with CNBC,  I am deluged with opinions, facts, conjectures that makes my head spin. For super entertainment I can watch Jim Cramer.

The days begin to blur,  the market rising and falling  once again upon more fearful news or renewed hope.

What looks like a house of cards is met with a high quality watch list, a solid plan for each market condition and  sound money management rules.

After all, the  market is always right. What you and I think does not matter. The market is always right.
